The $65 Medusa figure pairs a poseable snake body with alternate portraits, weapons and modular columns; a second StoreHorsemen sale was set for October 23.

Four Horsemen’s Figura Obscura Medusa stands out for a feature that shapes the whole display: a fully articulated snake body, with extra segments that let collectors change its curve. The $65 figure also comes with alternate portraits, weapons, a stone victim and modular column pieces, giving the mythological character several distinct presentation options.
The figure was offered exclusively through StoreHorsemen. In an update dated 10/18, Four Horsemen said Medusa would return for a second sale drop on Friday, 10/23, at 11 a.m. Eastern. The company said the follow-up was intended to give fans who missed the first drop another opportunity to order. Individual figures, pins, mugs and “All In” sets were listed for the second sale; mugs and All In sets were limited to one per person.
A snake body built for different poses
Medusa’s lower body is made from articulated sections, while the tip of the tail is bendable. That combination gives the figure more posing flexibility than a fixed sculpt: collectors can arrange the segmented length into a curve, then adjust the tail to finish the silhouette. Four Horsemen also includes extra body segments to replace the pieces that create a “90-degree angle,” allowing the snake body to be displayed fully straightened.
That option matters when planning a shelf or diorama. A curved body can frame the figure’s upper half and occupy more display space, while the straighter configuration offers a narrower outline. The source does not specify measurements, so collectors should check their available space against the figure before choosing a permanent setup. The bendable tail and replaceable sections also make it possible to revisit the pose later.
Two new face portraits plug into Medusa’s head: one calm and one angry. A “decapitated blood effect” also plugs into the bottom of the head. Together, these parts support different scene choices, from a composed character portrait to a more dramatic myth-inspired display. The effect is a separate included piece, so collectors can keep the standard head presentation available as well.
Weapons, a stone victim and display parts
The accessory selection includes a bow, arrow and quiver, along with stone shield and spear weapons. A stone victim’s remains add another story element: the statue’s head and helmet are removable, and Four Horsemen describes them as compatible with 1.0 Legions figures. That cross-compatibility gives collectors who own those figures an additional way to use the accessory in a scene.
Two sets of hands are included, as is a display stand. The package also contains modular column diorama pieces. The columns split apart for varied arrangements, and Four Horsemen says they can be combined with additional columns to create more display options. For collectors building a scene around Medusa, the columns can supply a backdrop; displayed separately or rearranged, they offer a way to change the setting without changing the figure itself.
The mix of poseable parts and scene accessories gives the figure several possible roles in a collection. A collector might emphasize the snake body and alternate portraits, build a confrontation around the weapons, or use the stone remains and columns to suggest a larger mythological setting. Those are display possibilities suggested by the included parts, rather than configurations prescribed by the maker.
Sale details and shipping timing
Four Horsemen listed the individual Medusa figure at $65, exclusively at StoreHorsemen, with no purchase limit in place for that item. The same theme was also offered through pins and fully sculpted mugs. A limited number of “All In” sets included one of each item at a discounted price. For the second drop, the company specifically stated that mugs and All In sets would be limited to one per person.
The first sale drop had already taken place when the 10/18 update was posted. Four Horsemen described Medusa as popular and said orders would begin leaving its warehouse early the following week. The company also cautioned that the items were in stock but limited to the quantity on hand, and could sell out. Because it expected a high order volume, it said shipping could take three to four weeks, including for orders placed within the first minutes of the sale.
That timing is useful for collectors planning around the October 23 return: ordering during the drop did not guarantee quick dispatch, according to the maker’s estimate. The clearest features to compare before choosing a setup are the two portraits, the alternative body segments, and the modular columns. With those parts, Medusa’s appeal lies in how much the display can change while keeping the same central figure.
