Ghostbusters Day Collectibles: Proton Pack Replica, Props and Costumes

For Ghostbusters collectors, the most notable item in this Ghostbusters Day roundup is a premium 1:1 Proton Pack replica themed to the original movie. FUN.com has announced the piece, but it wasn’t available when this article was written. The rest of the selection spans display props, toys, apparel and costumes, with two discount offers available for the franchise’s 39th anniversary.

The offers are 10% off at FUN.com and 15% off at HalloweenCostumes.com. The links below lead to the Ghostbusters sections with the coupon codes included:

• 10% off at FUN.com: Ghostbusters gifts at FUN.com.
• 15% off at HalloweenCostumes.com: Ghostbusters costumes at HalloweenCostumes.com.

With convention season approaching, these offers may be useful to collectors putting together a cosplay outfit or looking for another piece to add to a display. Here’s the FUN.com selection, starting with the item that has the clearest connection to the original film’s equipment:

Ghostbusters Proton Pack Costume Replica

A 1:1 replica has a different presence from a small prop or figure: its scale makes it a display centerpiece and a substantial part of a costume. FUN.com has described this version as themed to the original movie. Availability details weren’t provided here, so interested collectors will need to check the product page for updates.

Props, vehicles and figures

The Ghostbusters Plasma Series Neutrona Wand Prop Replica is another display-focused choice. The writer previously reviewed the Hasbro prop replica, with an earlier unboxing review available here. The item has been restocked with an orange tip. The earlier release had a more screen-accurate look, while the orange tip makes the restock more suitable for convention use. Which version arrives may depend on the stock available when an order is placed.

For a vehicle display, the Ghostbusters Afterlife Ecto-1 Toy Vehicle offers a familiar silhouette from the series. The writer recalls damaging an original Ecto-1 toy as a child and says this version wasn’t one they saw in stores. That makes its current listing a useful find for anyone who missed it at retail or wants to revisit a childhood favorite.

The Ghostbusters Afterlife Plasma Series Peter Venkman Collectible Figure drew the writer’s interest after being hard to find at the Target stores they visited. They describe it as an older version of Venkman and praise the Plasma Series figures’ build, noting that the first wave based on the 1984 film replaced their Mattel figures. The comparison offers a practical point for collectors weighing a new figure against an existing shelf: character era and sculpt style can matter as much as the series name.

Small additions for a themed collection

The Ghostbusters Glow in the Dark Slimy Logo T-Shirt for Adults brings the logo into a wearable format, with a glow-in-the-dark detail that suits evening events. The 16 oz Ghostbusters Heat Change Coffee Mug adds a changing graphic: as the mug warms, the Ghostbusters symbol appears around Mr. No-Ghost. These pieces take less display space than a large prop, and can sit alongside a collection of figures or film memorabilia.

Costumes for the whole crew

HalloweenCostumes.com’s selection covers several characters and sizes. The Women’s Ghostbusters Zuul Costume takes its cue from one of the franchise’s supernatural figures, while the Ghostbusters Adult Stay Puft Costume turns the oversized marshmallow mascot into a full adult outfit. The writer’s joke about being “as cute as a baby, just 10 times bigger” gets at the appeal: Stay Puft is instantly recognizable, and the sailor styling gives the costume a strong visual identity.

There are also options for younger family members and pets. The Ghostbusters Jumpsuit Pet Costume adds a four-legged recruit to a group outfit. The Ghostbusters Slimer Infant Costume gives the youngest member of the crew the look of the green ghost, and the Ghostbusters Women’s Jumpsuit Costume offers a classic uniform style. Together, they make it possible to build a family or group theme around distinct characters rather than matching every outfit.

The strongest collector angle here is the promised full-scale Proton Pack, while the Neutrona Wand and Afterlife releases offer more immediate choices across prop and toy categories. Check product pages for current availability and coupon details; the replica’s arrival is the next update to watch.
